Career path
I spent over a decade as a State Veterinary Surgeon in South Africa mainly focusing on animal health, disease control, regulatory enforcement, farm animals, animal welfare legislation and management. In 2020 I took a leap of faith and came to Hong Kong where I worked in private practice with my attention shifting to dogs, cats and all kinds of exotics animals. In early 2023 I decided to take on a new challenge and happily joined the SPCA.

Internal medicine and animal welfare.

Pets
In Hong Kong we are blessed with a formidable opponent in the form of “Mooncake”, a wonderfully crazy cat adopted at 4 weeks of age. Back in South Africa, one beautiful dog (“Georgie”) and three magnificent cats (“Mexico”, “Pakisquashy” and “Peep”) keep our chairs warm while we are in Hong Kong.
Interests
A cold beer or some red while dreaming of places I should visit. Irritating the wife and Mooncake is always a wonderful activity😊!
