CAREER PATH
After qualifying, in 2017, I spent one year completing my Compulsory Community Service in Queenstown, South Africa. I then practiced for a year in a small animal clinic in Port Elisabeth. After which I made the move to Cape Town where I worked at a busy animal welfare practice for 3 1/2 years before coming to Hong Kong, joining the SPCA in November 2022.
VETERINARY INTERESTS
Animal welfare and surgery.
REASONS FOR WORKING AT THE SPCA (HK)
To learn new skills and to enhance my veterinary knowledge. It’s a great opportunity to work in a different country with veterinary surgeons from all over the globe.
PETS
Charlie (a rescued overweight Mini Pinscher cross from Pretoria), Sylvester (a black and white, male cat from the streets of Queenstown), and to keep him company Sophie (a stray tabby female cat from Port Elisabeth).
INTERESTS
Squash, football (soccer), cricket, running and church.
