Part-Time Education Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Engage & Inspire (Primary Focus: Work with Children):
  • Conduct outreach activities in schools and community to promote public education and awareness of animal welfare.
  • Assist in group visits to immersive classroom and handicraft workshops at Tsing Yi Centre.
  • Assist in different customer engagement programmes (e.g. Kids Charity Birthday Party / Summer Camp) at Tsing Yi Centre. Once confident, candidates will deliver on-site education talks at schools and may assist with handling animal ambassadors during school visits.

• Ensure Smooth Operations & Preparation of Event Materials:
  • Provide operational and administrative support for activities as required, guaranteeing seamless event execution.
  • Support preparation of programme materials for the workshop when necessary.

• Communicate and Connect:
  • Foster strong relationships with participants, enhancing their learning journey and creating a welcoming environment.
• Evaluate and Improve:
  • Conduct post-programme evaluation and analysis to reflect on successes and identify areas for growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A recognised Degree in Child Psychology, Education, Social Science or related disciplines.
• Students, especially those who can commit to at least two full days per week, are warmly welcomed to apply.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred and will be highly valued.
• Strong organizational skills, including effective interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese, English, and Mandarin.
• A cheerful, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset, along with a genuine passion for animal welfare.
• Volunteer experience is a delightful bonus.
