SPCA would like to thank Derek for his wonderful support of animals in need. Leveraging his epic recent marathon run, Derek is raising awareness and funds for the abandoned, injured or abused animals currently being housed at the SPCA centers.
Derek’s adventures exemplify his commitment, dedication and mettle to not only his sport, but raising funds and awareness for the SPCA and animal welfare. His most recent (and 22nd) race saw him tackle 230 kilometres across 6 days, through the heart of the ancient Silk Road – journeying through mountain valleys, rivers, lakeshores, deserts, steppes, local villages, and many more extraordinary yet challenging and remote terrains.
