From adopting your very first pet to vet visits, grooming, and picking up essential supplies, here’s how becoming a member at the SPCA will make owning a pet that much easier.
Adoption
To adopt from the SPCA, you need to join as a member.
The adoption fees (depending on the species) cover the initial health check, the initial full course of preventive vaccinations, microchip, deworming and desexing.
The dog adoption package also includes a rabies vaccination and heartworm testing if needed.

The SPCA provides courses and consultation for behaviour and training, in addition to educational seminars and workshops for new to advanced pet owners and carers.
Members can join group training classes at a discounted rate, from puppy socialisation to obedience training and more skills-focussed classes, such as scent training.
Private training sessions are also available upon request, in addition to Behavioural Consultation with our Senior Behavioural Support Technician, Lily Leung, who also specialises in cat behaviour and psychology.

Did we mention that whatever you spend on your pets at the SPCA, helps the SPCA continue their welfare work and help animals in need?
Members purchasing pet foods, pet care products, toys and accessories at SPCA retail shops can enjoy a 10% discount and special offers on certain promotional items.
You can now shop with purpose and help save more animals in need, whilst also enjoying the savings!
Grooming
Grooming can sometimes be a bit of a daunting mission for pet owners, though it is an essential part in maintaining your pet’s health and wellness and should not be overlooked.
Luckily, we have a team of professional groomers to help in this area, and members can enjoy a 10% discount! Additionally, members can earn “Hair Miles” loyalty points, and redeem pet grooming services, with every visit to our salons, “Hair Force.”
Newly adopted SPCA animals can enjoy a 30% discount for full set service within three months, whilst animals boarding with us can enjoy a 20% discount on full set grooming service during their stay.

Our boarding service for dogs and cats is offered exclusively to members.
Dedicated kennel staff together with onsite veterinary facilities care for your companion animals while you are away, giving you peace of mind.
Fees vary according to the size of the kennel or cattery, as well as type and number of pets.

The SPCA operates numerous veterinary facilities throughout Hong Kong, offering our members reliable veterinary services.
From outpatient consultation, surgery, dentistry, acupuncture to full hospitalisation services, physio and even a 24-hour Emergency Service at our Wan Chai Clinic, members can seek comprehensive treatment for their pets.
The added benefit of visiting our clinics if your pet was adopted from the SPCA, is that the veterinarians will already have all your pet’s prior medical records to hand.
