My pet is sick but it is an Emergency?

It is difficult and unwise to try to list conditions that are emergencies as each situation is different, but problems such as difficulty giving birth, not passing urine, prolapsed eye, breathing difficulty, open wounds, poisoning or traffic accidents generally require immediate treatment.

[Tips for Taking MTR with Your Dog - Be Responsible, Be Respectful]
In just 2 weeks, participants with an SPCA Dogathon – 1-Day MTR Woof Pass will be making history by riding the MTR with their dogs! 🐶🚆

This milestone for a more pet-inclusive Hong Kong relies on cooperation, respect, and kindness from everyone — dog owners and non-dog owners alike.

Before you hop on board, here’s a quick reminder: being a responsible pet owner means following MTR rules and helping keep the environment clean for all passengers.

🚆 Travel Planning Reminder:
Please make sure to board and alight from the last train car, and stay in the last car for the entire journey.
(Friendly reminder: You may need to walk a bit more to the last car when changing lines. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!)

💡 Here are a few final tips:
1️⃣ Let your dog relieve themselves before heading to the station
2️⃣ Use an absorbent liner in the carrier for comfort and hygiene
3️⃣ Pack cleaning supplies in case of accidents

Let’s all help make this a smooth and positive experience. Safe and happy travels! 💙🐾

[Venji’s Happy Ever After: Third Time’s A Charm ✨]

We’re thrilled to share the heartwarming journey of Venji, a beautiful German Shepherd who was unfortunately surrendered by 2 of her previous owners before finding her happy ever after.

As fate would have it, Venji’s current owners had just lost their loyal German Shepherd companion, and although they had no intention in adopting so soon, the thought of Venji being surrendered again or living out her days at the shelter was too much to bear, and Venji found her forever home!

Adopting Venji wasn’t without challenges, but her family embraced them with love and patience and as a result, Venji has blossomed into a loyal companion over the past five years.

Her owners would like to remind us that every pet deserves a chance, no matter their past - “Nothing is perfect, but I think love can overcome all these [difficulties].”

Remember, keeping an animal is a lifelong promise. Let’s choose to be responsible pet owners and give these wonderful animals the love they deserve! 🏡💖
