CAREER PATH

After 2 years in mixed practice in the UK I started working at the Hong Kong SPCA in 1992, where I discovered my passion for dermatology, and spent a period of time studying and training in the discipline overseas.

This led me to become a founder member, and former Vice President of the Asian Society of Veterinary Dermatology. I was the Asian Representative on the Executive Committee of the World Association for Veterinary Dermatology for 10 years. I also served as Honorary Secretary for the Sixth World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology which took place in Hong Kong in 2008.

I left the SPCA to work as a dermatology consultant for industry partners which involved frequent travelling within the Asian region to give lectures to veterinary surgeons. I also worked in private practice seeing referral cases for complex skin and ear cases, before returning to the SPCA in 2021.
