Thinking about a future as a vet?

SPCA’s first Vet Discovery Programme is now open for enrolment! Designed for students aged 16–18, this 70-hour summer programme offers a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the veterinary field and explore a career in veterinary medicine and other related disciplines could look like.

Through first-hand learning and real-world experiences, participants will hear directly from our veterinary team, inspectors and dog trainers, while gaining insight into the many ways professionals work together to protect and care for animals. From clinical observations and caring for shelter animals, to lectures, interactive activities and visits to partner organisations, the programme offers a broader view of animal welfare work in practice, as well as the ethical and welfare challenges faced by the profession.

⚠️ Just a reminder: puppies may be cute and playful right now, but they need plenty of care, attention, and training. And one day, they’ll grow into big, beautiful adult dogs who will need the same commitment from you.

[Adopt Us – Black Bean & Green Bean]

Hello, we're Black Bean and Green Bean! We came from a group of purebred cats who were abandoned in a cage, in a field in Yuen Long in January 2026.
We were all quite poorly at the time, and it was highly likely that my previous owner didn't want to deal with our ailments or medical treatment and abandoned us as a result.

We both suffer from cat flu and therefore will need a little extra tender, loving care, but we are both friendly and affectionate cats with so much love to give.
We do not need to be adopted together; however, we do hope that our next owner will carefully consider whether they can give us the care we need before taking us home. If you can give either of us a loving forever home, please come visit us and see if we make a good match!
