My pet is sick but it is an Emergency?

It is difficult and unwise to try to list conditions that are emergencies as each situation is different, but problems such as difficulty giving birth, not passing urine, prolapsed eye, breathing difficulty, open wounds, poisoning or traffic accidents generally require immediate treatment.

From rescue to rebirth — Lok Lok & Dorma’s story 🧧🐶

Now, Dorma has found her forever home, while Lok Lok is still waiting at our Kowloon Centre for his chance at happiness. 💛

This Lunar New Year, help more animals like them heal and start anew.

[Adopt Me – Gus]

Hi, my name is Gus! I was 1 of 7 neonatal puppies found in Sha Tau Kok on 10 May 2025. It was lucky that the inspectors rescued us, as we would not have survived out on the streets on our own. Despite my strapping appearance now, I am actually a bit of a scaredy cat and need a bit of patience when exploring the outdoors or meeting new people. Other than that, I am an exuberant fellow and good with other dogs. Please come visit me and see if we make a good match!

Rescue animals need your help. The SPCA relies on the public’s donations for our daily, medical, and training needs. Please support us by joining the Animal Sponsorship Programme (bit.ly/3sp7CmC).
