My pet is sick but it is an Emergency?

It is difficult and unwise to try to list conditions that are emergencies as each situation is different, but problems such as difficulty giving birth, not passing urine, prolapsed eye, breathing difficulty, open wounds, poisoning or traffic accidents generally require immediate treatment.

[Adopt Us – Yuen Long Kittens!]
Hi, we are Tristan and Lancelot! We were found in a litter of 7 kittens in Yuen Long by a concerned passerby in October 2025. Thankfully, this kind stranger brought us into the SPCA where we were able to receive the care and treatment we needed.

5 of our siblings were lucky enough to find their happy ever after, but the 2 of us are hoping 2026 will bring us better luck. As Tristan and Lancelot are bonded, we would need to be adopted together.
Do you have space in your heart and home for us adorable cats? Come visit us and see if we make a good match!

Rescue animals need your help. The SPCA relies on the public’s donations for our daily, medical, and training needs. Please support us by joining the Animal Sponsorship Programme (bit.ly/3sp7CmC).

Tiny Kitten Trapped on Narrow Bridge Pier — Rescued Just in Time!
[Inspector’s Log – 26 November 2025]

A tiny kitten was found stranded on top of a narrow concrete pier beneath the Ma On Shan Bypass — metres above ground, with no safe way down.

As night fell and her cries grew weaker, our inspector worked for nearly five hours, using specialised techniques to reach her safely. Despite the darkness and danger, the rescue was a success!

Now safe in foster care, the kitten is recovering well. 💙

This November, SPCA received a total of 1,803 calls and assisted 444 animals.

If you ever witness an animal in distress, please don’t hesitate to contact us. SPCA 24-hour animal rescue hotline: ☎️ 2711 1000

One Month After the Tai Po Fire, A Miracle Happened Again ✨

On Christmas Eve, we were finally granted permission to set a small number of cat traps and cameras in Wan Yan House. And on Christmas Day, a miracle happened — a cat was safely trapped! It was immediately brought to the SPCA Centre for a check-up and was found to be in good health. Best of all, she has been reunited with her owner. 🎄💖

On the first day of 2026, we successfully trapped another cat. This one is still very frightened, but the owner has already arrived and is ready to take the cat home.

Police have now given us approval to place cat traps in the remaining five buildings next week. We remain hopeful and determined — and we can’t wait to share more good news with you all. ❤️
