Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently throughout Hong Kong.
- Assist veterinary personnel as needed in relation to vehicle operations and daily activities, including animal handling as directed by the veterinary surgeon.
- Maintain the vehicle in a safe and clean condition at all times.
- Ensure that the vehicle is adequate fuelled, stocked with necessary supplies, and fully roadworthy before setting off for operation.
- Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
- Keep accurate mileage and repair records up to date.
- Assist in training staff and & volunteers, and promote the Society’s ABC programmes at public and community events.
Qualification & Requirements
- Valid Hong Kong Driving License (Class 1 and 2) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant driving experience is required.
- A valid license for medium/heavy goods vehicles is highly desirable.
- A clean driving record is essential.
- Familiar with Hong Kong roads, driving conditions and road traffic regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage.
- Organized and ability to follow schedule.
- Punctual, polite, honest and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
- Fluent in Cantonese, proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
- Preferably has experience in animal handling and an understanding of animal welfare issues across various species.
- Genuine interest in the welfare of all animals
