【愛協督察手記 – 2026年3月26日】 3月26號，有市民報告喺大埔墟林村河見有隻龜龜喺水入面不斷掙扎，好似游唔返上岸咁😖 愛協督察趕到現場之後發現事情並唔係咁簡單，因為睇真啲原來佢俾魚絲纏住咗啊！督察先用撈網將龜龜安全救返上岸邊，再幫龜龜小心咁移除勾咗喺身上嘅魚絲。 不幸之中嘅大幸係督察並無發現龜龜身上有其他傷，就將龜龜帶返河流上游，龜龜成功重獲自由！ 有時一啲看似無害嘅垃圾，對動物嚟講係有機會造成嚴重意外㗎！我哋除咗想感謝報案人及時報告呢個意外俾我哋聽之外，救援過程期間其實都有熱心市民協助我哋拯救龜龜。感謝每一位為受困動物伸出援手嘅你哋！🤝 今年3月，愛協一共接咗2,025個求助電話，協助咗405隻動物！ ☎️愛協24小時動物拯救熱線：2711 1000 愛協嘅動物拯救服務係免費嘅，如果你都想支持督察嘅工作，可透過 bit.ly/4dmd0cj 捐款。 [Inspector’s Log – 26 March 2026] On the 26th, members of the public reported that a red-eared slider had been struggling in the water in Lam Tsuen River near Tai Po Old Market. When SPCA inspectors arrived at the scene, they discovered that the situation was more serious than expected — it was entangled by a discarded fishing line. The inspectors first used the net to bring the turtle back to shore and then removed the fishing line carefully from it. Thankfully, no visible injuries were found. After assessment, the turtle was released upstream to swim free once again. What may look like harmless litter can have serious consequences for animals. We would like to thank not only the informant for bringing this case to our attention, but also the caring member of the public who showed concern for the turtle and assisted our inspector during the rescue. In March 2026, the SPCA received a total of 2,025 calls and assisted 405 animals! If you ever witness an animal in distress, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
