我們正在努力爭取尋找下落不明的動物

我們深切理解，許多市民在等待摯愛寵物消息的過程中，所承受的憂傷與不安。愛協每日持續不懈地爭取拯救可能仍困於受影響大廈內的動物。我們已多次向消防處及災難遇難者身份辨認組（DVIU）提出緊急請求，並會繼續爭取一切可行的機會，以保障動物的安全。

我們衷心感謝社會各界提出的寶貴意見及關注。我們已將所有建議呈交有關部門，並積極跟進。同時，我們亦理解DVIU目前面對的情況極為艱鉅，在某些個案中，因火災破壞嚴重，部分動物或已無法辨識，這是我們和所有動物家人都難以接受的傷痛。

**已落實的行動**
我們感謝部分建議已獲接納並付諸實行，包括：
- 讓宏志閣的寵物主人留下鎖匙予消防人員，以便他們可進入單位進行搜救，或由主人陪同返回單位；
- 准許我們於大廈外圍設置人道捕貓籠；
- 前線人員主動搜尋曾向本會登記、有寵物失蹤紀錄的單位。

**正在爭取的事項**
我們今早接獲DVIU通知，其在大廈內的搜索行動已告完成，並未發現仍生還的動物。這是一個令人心痛的消息。然而，本會仍會積極爭取進一步支援：

- 根據失蹤動物名單進行搜尋，並定期向公眾更新搜救進度。
- 在單位或樓層內放置食物與水，以備可能仍有動物藏匿其中；
- 整個籠子一併帶走仍於籠內的動物（例如兔子）；
- 對懷疑屬於寵物的遺骸進行DNA鑑定，以協助確認身份；
- 向漁農自然護理署申請更多支援與協助，以加強後續的搜救與支援工作。

我們將繼續全力為動物及牠們的家庭發聲，並在有進一步消息時，第一時間向公眾匯報。

截至12月3日20:00，自火災以來共尋獲364隻動物，其中294隻幸存，70隻已不幸離世。仍有173隻動物下落不明，我們估計整體受影響的動物總數超過537隻。

日前發佈的數字是由愛協協助消防處處理動物的數字。

目前的更新包括：過去兩天救出的魚類、寵物蟹，及一隻已離世的貓，我們亦重新整理及核對各團體與義工提供的資料。

As of 20:00 on 3 Dec, a total of 364 animals have been found since the fire, including 294 survivors and 70 that have sadly passed away. 173 animals are still missing, bringing the estimated total number of affected animals to over 537.

The figures released earlier were based on animals received by the SPCA from the FSD.

The latest update includes fish and pet crabs rescued over the past two days, one deceased cat, and a thorough review of data provided by various groups and volunteers.

我們早前於宏福苑外圍設置了數個捕貓籠，希望能捕捉可能從受災大廈逃出的貓隻。今日清晨，其中一個籠內發現一隻唐貓。貓貓沒有剪耳或晶片，有機會為家養貓，但亦不排除該貓原本為當區街貓。有附近居民聯絡我們，表示有機會是平日一直餵食的貓貓。

經初步觀察，貓貓整體健康狀況正常，但目前十分怕人，情緒亦較不穩定。基於大埔現時的環境仍不穩，我們會先安排牠在青衣中心休息及適應環境，稍後再作進一步安排，例如為牠尋找合適領養家庭。即使有機會為街貓，暫時亦不宜將牠放回原居地。但我們會在這裏繼續更新，並相關居民保持聯絡，作出適當跟進。大家無需擔心貓貓！

Earlier, we set up several cat traps around Wang Fuk Court in the hope of capturing any cats that might have escaped from the affected buildings. Early this morning, a Domestic Shorthair was found in one of the traps. The cat has no ear‑tip or microchip, so it may be a pet or street cat. A nearby resident contacted us and said it might be a cat they regularly feed.

Based on our initial observation, the cat appears to be in generally good health, but it is currently very frightened and emotionally unstable. As the situation in Tai Po is still unsettled, we will first arrange for the cat to rest at our Tsing Yi centre before making further plans, such as looking for a suitable home. Even if it is a street cat, it would not be appropriate to release it back to its original location for the time being. We will continue to stay in contact with the relevant residents and follow up as needed.

[Adopt Me – Lok Lok]

Hello, my name is Lok Lok! I was found with my sister, Dorma, in San Tin on 24 November 2024.

I had a rather nasty wound on my left side at the time, so it was lucky that the SPCA could take me in for treatment! Now that I have healed up, I would love to go to a loving, forever home soon – especially seeing as my sister found her happy ever after earlier this month!

Please come visit me and see if we make a good match! I am a lovely, affectionate and playful boy, with a love for squeaky toys!

Many pet owners have proactively provided us with information and photos of their animals, and we are doing our best to help guide rescue teams in locating these precious lives.

Today, thanks to the information provided by one of the owners, another 24 surviving fish were successfully reunited with their family.

A heartfelt thank you to every member of the rescue team for your incredible efforts!
