【狗狗可以進入餐廳？邁向人寵共融一大步！🐶🥰】 我哋真係好開心知道政府有可能提出修訂《食物業規例》，容許餐廳申請特定牌照准許狗狗進入食肆！ 多年嚟，愛協一直積極推動人寵共融，令毛孩可以進入更多公共設施、公共交通工具，以至准許狗狗進入餐廳。我哋好開心見到更多公共空間變得更寵物友善！ 我哋相信呢一步唔止可以加強人同寵物之間嘅聯繫，亦可以喺香港營造更動物友善嘅文化。同時，適當嘅保障措施，例如清晰嘅衛生同管理指引——絕對有助確保食客同毛孩可以安全、和諧咁共享呢啲空間。 除咗餐廳之外，我哋亦好希望見到香港喺其他方面變得更狗狗友善，尤其係公共房屋。我哋亦期望政府會修訂等候多時而且過時嘅第169章《防止殘酷對待動物條例》，加入清晰嘅「謹慎責任」，確保動物不單受到保護免受殘酷對待，亦能夠獲得應有嘅適當照顧同居住環境。 對於更寵物友善嘅香港，你又有咩意見呢？留言話畀我哋知👇🏻 [Dogs in Restaurants? A Step Towards a Pet-Friendly Future!] We are really glad to hear government’s potential proposal to amend the Food Business Regulation to allow restaurants to apply for a special license permitting dogs to enter dining establishments. For many years, the SPCA has actively promoted and pushed for pet-inclusivity — from improved pet friendly public facilities to enhanced access on public transportation, and welcoming dogs in restaurants. We are pleased to see the government’s policy direction moving toward more pet friendly public spaces. We believe this step will not only strengthen the bond between people and their pets, but also foster a more animal friendly culture in Hong Kong. At the same time, appropriate safeguards — such as clear hygiene and management guidelines — will help ensure that both diners and their pets can safely and harmoniously share these spaces. Beyond restaurants, we also hope to see Hong Kong becoming more dog-friendly in other areas — particularly in public housing. We also look forward to seeing long awaited amendments to the outdated Cap. 169 Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance so that it includes a clear Duty of Care, ensuring pets are not only protected from cruelty but also provided with the proper care and environment they deserve. But Nathan (now called "Big Head") has shown us that with patience and love, they can open their hearts just the same 💛. “Big Head” was originally abandoned and later referred to the SPCA by the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Conservation Department. This April, he finally met his forever family and started a brand-new life! His owner shared: "At first, when we interacted with him, he wouldn’t let us touch him or clean his cage. We thought he was very fierce. But after spending more time with him, we slowly realised he has a unique personality. We built trust with him, and as our bond grew, so did our affection for him. That’s when we decided to bring him home!" 「飛天貓」受困冷氣機頂😿 【愛協督察手記 – 2025年7月11日】 7月11日，愛協督察接到消防處緊急求助，知道有隻貓貓爬咗出窗，受困喺冷氣機頂，一唔小心就好容易跌落去！😱 我哋即刻帶住捕貓繩同伸縮杆趕到現場，同消防員一齊合作，小心翼翼咁將貓貓一步一步帶返入屋，拯救過程驚險！ 今次幸好有人及早發現貓貓，愛協督察先可以及時趕到現場，成功安全拯救貓貓。但唔係次次都咁好彩！2024年我哋處理嘅274宗危站貓個案中，有60隻喺我哋到場時已經跳咗落嚟證實死亡……⚠️ 唔想悲劇發生，秉有貓主人應該要適當咁安裝窗網，或者喺露台裝門網，先可以避免「飛天貓」意外。 愛協嘅動物拯救服務係免費嘅，如果你都想支持督察嘅工作，可透過 bit.ly/4dmd0cj 捐款。 ☎️愛協24小時動物拯救熱線：2711 1000 Flying Cat Spotted on the Ledge! [Inspector’s Log – 11 July 2025] On 11 July, SPCA inspectors responded to an urgent request from the Fire Services Department for assistance about a cat found standing on a ledge near the outer laundry rack of an apartment. Our inspectors responded swiftly to the scene with catch pole and rope and cooperated with firefighters to bring the cat back to safety. Luckily, the cat was spotted timely so that the inspectors could arrive at the scene immediately. However, not every Flying Cat could be found timely… In 2024, of the 274 “flying cat” cases we handled, 60 jumped down and died when we arrived on the scene. To avoid tragedy, all cat owners should install netting over windows or screen doors to the balcony. The SPCA animal rescue service is free.
