The position manages the Information Technology Department in will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, reviewing, and developing the Society’s technology infrastructure and various systems. It is a strategic role to monitor the operational requirements, research strategies and technology solutions, and build the cost-effective and efficient system to achieve the Society’s goals: CRM/CMS to improve customer journey and ERP/Enterprise Solutions for operational efficiencies. The role should also formulate long term IT strategies to align with the Society’s development direction and plan.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the IT team and vendors to ensure IT operations are smooth in both front and back office, including but not limited to strategic planning & development, system enhancement, network administration, infrastructure, application software, security & risk assessment.
- Improve customer engagement including sourcing and implementing programmes and technology to evolve the customer database(s) and loyalty, booking systems, communications and e-marketing.
- Improve internal efficiencies by building out the IT roadmap to implement internal ERP enhancements, including interconnectivity between – and usability of – our finance, medical, shelter, retail and customer systems.
- Oversee technical projects in alignment with the Society’s goals and business.
- Direct the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes.
- Act as the budget owner to prepare and manage IT Budget which aligns with the Society’s strategies and IT directions.
- Evaluate IT trends, recommend and implement technological strategic solutions.
- Identify and process communications systems for the new centres, from concept through to tender stage.
- Maintain, coordinate, and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff.
Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT industry with at least 5 years in managerial capacity.
- Proficient in Windows server, Linux, VMware, Veeam, Amazon AWS and Offices family.
- Solid experience in network infrastructure (such as Router, Switch, WiFi, UTM Firewall, VPN, DR, Citrix, Anti virus, Backup solution).
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft NAV, ASP/ASP.net, MSSQL, PHP, MySQL, RESTful web services, Xcode, MS Access, IIS and Apache.
- Familiar with RxWorks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and WordPress is an advantage.
- Solid experience in CRM projects esp with Microsoft Sales/Marketing modules is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability and people skills.
- Can-do attitude and hands on.
- Genuine interest in the welfare of all animals.
