Member of Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) (Small Animal Medicine Chapter).
Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CertVetAcu), Chi Institute, Taiwan.

CAREER PATH:
After graduation, I worked for small animal welfare organisations in the Gold Coast and Canberra before returning to Hong Kong. Once home, I developed a special interest in Small Animal Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and became a certified veterinary acupuncturist in 2013. During this time I was honoured to work as a locum at the SPCA providing regular acupuncture clinics for their members. After the SPCA, I joined a private practice in Hong Kong to further my veterinary knowledge and study in other areas. In 2019, I passed the exams for Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in the field of small animal medicine. In January 2020, I returned to the SPCA as a full-time veterinary surgeon and will be working mainly in the Hong Kong and Kowloon hospitals, hopefully utilising my new knowledge to the full.
VETERINARY INTERESTS:
I am interested in many different aspects - small animal internal medicine, feline medicine, diagnostic imaging, cardiology and soft tissue surgery. I also like to incorporate acupuncture and Chinese medicine as additional treatment modalities in the palliative care of certain end stage diseases.
REASONS FOR WORKING AT THE SPCA (HK):
To be able to advocate the core values of animal welfare to the general public, including taking part in the animal welfare work that the SPCA is providing on daily basis. Plus enjoying the diverse and varied caseload coming through the door, which will help me grow as veterinary surgeon.
PETS:
“Mocha” and “Choco”, two very funny and adorable poodles that I adopted on returning to Hong Kong, plus one naughty cat adopted from the SPCA named “Stevie”!
INTERESTS:
Traveling, scuba diving, exercising (staying active), wine tasting and spending time with family and friends.
