Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), University of Melbourne, Australia. Certificate of Veterinary Acupuncture (CertVetAc), International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS), UK.

CAREER PATH:
After graduation in 1999, I worked as a mixed animal vet in rural Victoria, Australia for a year. I relocated to the UK and spent the next few years working as a locum in various small animal clinics throughout the UK and Australia. During this time, I also completed my Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture and a postgraduate qualification in Emergency and Critical Care. For the last 10 years, I have enjoyed working in a bustling clinic and associated hospital in West London before making the move to Hong Kong.

VETERINARY INTERESTS:
Geriatric Care – improving the quality of life of our elderly pets many of whom have a variety of illnesses. Preventative Health Care – educating people how to prevent disease occurring in their animal friends. Emergency and Critical Care and Acupuncture.

REASONS FOR WOKING AT THE SPCA(HK):
Having always wanted to live and work in Hong Kong, I decided to stop thinking about it and just do it. Luckily the family agreed. I like the ethos of the SPCA and working with a large team there is always an opportunity to learn something new. Having worked for welfare organisations before, I am also aware of the importance of the work they do within the community.

PETS:
Sadly, our beloved cat recently passed away. But no doubt, working at the SPCA we will find a new furry companion or two soon!

INTERESTS:
Anything and everything! Exploring our new Hong Kong environs, cooking, fine wine appreciation and a bit of exercise on the side for good measure.
