POLICIES

Cancellation

If the minimum enrollment number for a course is not met 3 days prior to the first class, the course will be cancelled. We will notify you 3 days before the first class to offer you the chance to enroll in an alternative course, retain a credit with us for a future course or receive a full refund.

Refunds

Refunds are provided only for class cancellations made by SPCA (HK). Refunds will be made by cheque which will be sent within 4 weeks.

Vaccinations

For puppy classes, we require proof of a course of two DHPPiL vaccinations given at least 7 days before the first class. For dogs over 5 months old, we require proof of current rabies vaccination. You must present proof of vaccinations by the first session in order for your dog to participate in subsequent classes. All vaccinations must be conducted by a registered veterinary surgeon.

Declines & Referrals

In order to protect all participants in a class, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog who presents behaviour issues that may be overly dangerous, disruptive, or that may be exacerbated by participation in a group class. If any behaviour issues are discovered during a course and the trainer determines that it is in everyone's best interest that you seek private consultation, you will be recommended alternative private instructions instead.

Schedule Changes

Any class changes should be made 14 days prior to the first lesson. A handling fee of $100 will be charged for every lesson changed.

Participation

We welcome you and your family members or human friends (up to 4 in total) per dog to join us from the 2nd lesson onwards. Please register your attendance with your trainer at the beginning of the lesson.

Video and tape recording are NOT permitted in the class
Junior family members are welcome

Although courses are designed for adults, junior members of the family are also welcome. Their attendance must be under the supervision of a parent to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone, humans and dogs alike, in the class.

Absence

If your dog is not able to come to a lesson, we highly encourage you and your human companions to still attend. If, however, you or your human companions can not attend a lesson, relevant homework materials will be sent to you by your trainer via e-mail. We regret that we are unable to offer make-up classes.
