A member of the public called our hotline and reported the discovery of an illegal trap in Sai Sha.
A team of inspectors met with the informant who showed the way to the trap. A large illegal trap (approx. 2 (L) * 1 (H) * 1 (W) meter) was placed in bushes. The gate of the trap was closed but there was no animal inside it.
After disassembling the trap, inspectors conducted a thorough search near the scene but could not find any other traps. Eventually, the disassembled trap was sent to AFCD for custody.
