Changing legislation to increase animal protection

changing legislation to increase animal protection

In 2010, in conjunction with the University of Hong Kong, we released a report on animal welfare legislation in Hong Kong. One of the key recommendations was that CAP 169 was radically overhauled and the concept of ‘duty of care’ was introduced.

The government is now looking to amend Cap. 169 and it wants your views on how to protect animals better.

This session, hosted by two of our most passionate animal welfare advocates, will provide you with the background to our research as well as the ways in which we think current legislation should be amended.

The two-hour seminar is free to attend and takes place regularly during late afternoons at our Wan Chai headquarters.
