• Create a homelike environment for our animals. They play with, pet, brush, talk to and provide love for animals until permanent adopters can be found.

KENNEL KEEPERS

• Work with our team in cleaning, feeding, bathing and grooming animals.

ADOPTION COUNSELORS

• Work with our homing team to find permanent homes for our many unwanted pets.

DOG WALKERS

• Fill a canine's day with love and exercise by taking SPCA's pooches for a promenade.

ANIMAL CARE SUPPORT

• Work behind the scenes with our veterinary assistants e.g. in the dispensary, surgical preparation room.

HUMANE EDUCATION

• Volunteers visit classrooms with a variety of living creatures, sharing knowledge about petcare, endangered species and other topics relating to animals and the environment.

• Volunteers help organise and staff our annual special events.
• Staff information booths at fairs and community events.
• Offer clerical support services to our staff e.g. translations, editing.
• Aid operations and assist in guest relations e.g. as a guide or counsellor.
• Recruit new SPCA members and became involved with fundraising activities. 

OTHER WAYS TO HELP

If you don't have time to become a regular volunteer, you can still help HK SPCA by:-

• Becoming a Foster Parent, Foster volunteers provide a temporary home (usually 3-4 weeks) for animals who are either sick or injured or too young to be adopted. Volunteers provide loving care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. The HK SPCA provides for the animals' medical needs.
• Contributing your special skills, such as photography, writing and artwork.
