This brand new insurance product provides comprehensive protection for:
- Vet fees (clinical and surgical expenses for injury and illness);
- Accidental death (the price an owner paid for his/her pet);
- Boarding fees (in case a pet owner is hospitalised);
- Cost of advertising or reward (if a pet is stolen or lost);
- Lost / stolen pet (the price an owner paid for his/her pet);
- Travel protection (additional accommodation and transportation expenses, or the expenses involved in cancelling or abandoning travel plans in case of emergency);
- Quarantine overseas (the cost of additional boarding fees and transportation expenses incurred); and
- Legal liability (if a pet kills or injures someone, or damages someone¡¦s property)
SPCA PetGuard pet insurance offers pet owners a range of benefits:

- Reimbursement of vet fees (local and overseas) - no limit on fee per visit, and no restriction on the number of visits;
- Unlike other insurance schemes that limit cover to the first 12 months of treatment, SPCA PetGuard allows claims up to the maximum amount covered, for as long as the treatment takes;
- SPCA PetGuard is unique in covering boarding fees, travel protection and accidental death;
- Flexible choices of plans to suit specific needs, with annual premium as low as HK $1,100, and group discounts of up to 20% for insuring 2 pets or more; and
