The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ( Hong Kong ) [SPCA (HK)] is partnering with Bright Services Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kong (SRACP), to make and sell healthy Tuen Ng Festival dumplings. This collaboration is unique in that it benefits animals as well as reformed young offenders.

SPCA (HK) has been looking for a healthy, vegetarian recipe for its annual Tuen Ng dumpling sale. The SRCP on the other hand, helps reintegrate former young offenders by teaching them vocational skills through their food factory and other services. In a chance encounter, the two organizations discussed the possibility of creating a line of delicious, yet healthy, dumplings. Two variants are vegetarian, while other two are lean duck breast, scallop and lean pork.

The 4 dumplings (total 5 types of coupon) are

1. Tapioca and purple grain dumpling with ginger juice, $88 for two

2. 5 grain healthy dumpling, $98 for two

3. Dumpling with scallop and duck breast, $108 for two

4. Premium XO sauce dumpling with scallop and pork, $118 for two

5. Supreme Four treasures (1 per each style), $188

They are available for sale at SPCA centres and at SPCA charity sales.
